Making sense of your report: A guide to understanding the Solution Finder report data

Based on your truck and pump configuration, Solution Finder will simulate 6 important key performance indicators of your truck. Namely: the air speed in the suction hose, the water temperature in the vacuum system, the filling and evacuation time of the tank, the water tank level, the vacuum system weight.

1. Air speed in suction hose

The air speed in suction hose graph helps you identify if you have enough air speed in the suction hose to convey the desired material.

For solid topics as stone, sand and bricks, the air speed must be around 35 m/s or 115 ft/s. For fluid topics with specific gravity like water, the air speed can be lowered to around 25 m/s or 83 ft/s. For all kind of powders you will need no more than 10 m/s or 32 ft/s.

2. Water temperature

To avoid cavitation, the water temperature in the vacuum system must be below 60°C – 70°C / 140°F – 158°F. The optimal water temperature in a vacuum system is between 15°C – 25°C / 59°F – 77°F.

Based on your configuration, Solution Finder will estimate the water temperature in your system. If it is under 60°C/ 140°F , you can safely operate the truck.

3. Filling time of vacuum truck

Solution Finder will give you an estimation of the vacuum tank filling time based on your specifications. By estimating the filling time of your vacuum tank, you can assess whether your system is rightsized for the desired operational requirements.

It can help you identify potential cost-saving opportunities by optimizing the system’s components before the truck is released for production.

4. Evacuation time of your vacuum truck

Solution Finder will estimate the time it takes to empty your tank of air and be ready for the next suction job.

This assessment will help you identify potential areas for improvement in terms of evacuation time and overall efficiency of your truck.

5. Water tank level

The Solution Finder tool will simulate weather the specified amount of water in the truck configuration section is suitable.

Too much water on the truck will increase the truck’s operational costs, while too little water on the truck will affect the truck’s performance.

6. System weight

You will get an accurate estimation of your vacuum system weight.

By knowing the weight, you can ensure: the truck remains within the legal weight limit, the truck operates safely and efficient, optimal performance.
